Which system should I start with?
Most RVers start with the AR3. Its three stages catch sediment, filter down to 0.2 micron, and use carbon for taste and odor. The AR2 is lighter and costs less, with 0.2 micron and carbon filters, and suits weekend trips. Not sure? The water bundle builder recommends a setup in about a minute.
What does a bundle add?
Every Essential Bundle adds a 25' inlet hose, a 5' RV hose, a pressure regulator and a 3-way splitter, all with stainless quick connects, so you are set up from the spigot to your RV. Elite Bundles also add a 10,000-grain portable water softener, an extra 5' hose and a 90° fitting. Bundles cost less than buying the same parts one by one.
Can I pay over time?

Can I filter water from a stream or lake?
Yes, with the ARX+. It has a built-in pump that draws water from a stream, lake or tank and runs it through 4 filter stages down to 0.2 micron. In bypass mode it works as a pass-through filter on a normal hookup. The ARX+ uses its own filters and is sold as a complete kit.
Do I need a pressure regulator?
We recommend one. Blu Tech rates its filter systems for 40 to 60 PSI, and campground pressure can run much higher. A regulator protects the filters and your RV plumbing. Every Essential and Elite bundle includes one.
How often do I change filters?
Every 3 to 4 months on the AR3 and 2 to 3 months on the AR2, depending on how dirty the water is. Keep a spare pack on board so a change never waits on shipping.
Does a filter soften water?
No. Filters do not remove the calcium and magnesium that cause hard water and spots. Add a Blu Tech water softener, or choose an Elite Bundle, which includes one.
What about UV purification?
PURBLU systems add an LED UVC stage after the filters for wells and water you don't trust. The PURBLU AR3 UVC System is the lowest-priced way in, and it also comes as a full bundle. Most campground city water is well served by the AR3.
