DIY FAQ

Answers before you build

Do I need to be an electrician?

What you need is comfort with 12V and 24V DC wiring, torque specs, fusing and careful work around a lithium battery bank. If those skills are new to you, commissioning or professional installation gives you the right level of help, and we will point you to the path that fits before you start.

What experience should I have?

DIY customers who do well have wired accessories, run and terminated heavy cable, and can follow a documented electrical design step by step. Comfort with basic tools, a torque wrench and a multimeter is the core skill set.

What diagrams are included?

You receive the engineering documentation for the bundle you bought, showing how the core system is intended to come together and the major connections between components, plus supported expansion paths where they apply.

What support is included?

Support hours are good for one year from purchase. Spend them on email questions, scheduled calls, wiring diagram review, troubleshooting and installation guidance, at whatever pace your project actually moves. If you start the install six months after the system arrives, support is still there.

What happens if I run into a problem?

You contact support and we work it with you. Most issues are settings, sequencing or a connection that needs to match the diagram. If it turns into something bigger, we talk about commissioning or having our team finish the install.

Are all cables included?

Wiring bundles are part of the configurator and each one lists exactly what is in it on its own product page, so you can read the contents before you buy. Vehicle-specific runs, lengths and pass-throughs depend on your rig, so support can confirm whether your build needs anything extra.

Can my local installer use the diagrams?

Yes, and plenty of customers buy this way. You supply the designed system and documentation, your electrician or RV technician does the install, and our support team answers diagram questions throughout the project.

Can MMH finish the installation for me?

In most cases, yes. Talk to us whenever you want a hand and we will lay out the options, including commissioning or a professional install of the remaining work.

Can I have the system inspected before turning it on?

Yes. Remote or in-person commissioning services are available. An expert reviews the installation, validates the configuration and assists with startup, either remotely or at our Delaware, Ohio facility. Commissioning is valid for 90 days from purchase, so schedule it with your install timeline in mind.

What warranty support do I receive?

Every system is built on premium components with industry-leading manufacturer warranties, including 11 years on Epoch batteries and 5 years on Victron equipment. We remain the dealer of record on everything we sold you, so claims come through us and we handle them for you. Ongoing technical support continues after your first year.

You do the installation. We handle the hard parts.

Configure your system and see exactly what you get, from hardware to support, before you check out.
