Questions about plan types
What's the difference between RoamLink Wireless and carrier-direct plans?
RoamLink is a U.S. wireless carrier (MVNO) owned and operated by MobileMustHave. It runs its own core network and holds direct roaming agreements with the major carriers, so one plan uses AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile and switches to the strongest signal. Because RoamLink runs its own core network, the carriers cannot see, throttle or deprioritize your traffic. RoamLink manages its network to keep it fast for every customer, as outlined in our Terms of Service.
Carrier-direct plans run directly on one carrier's network and are sold by MobileMustHave. They stay on that single network and can be deprioritized behind phone traffic. In return they're often the lowest price for unlimited data on that one network.
Which network does a carrier-direct plan use?
Each plan runs on one network: Pink, Red or Blue. Tell us where you park and we'll match you to the network that covers it. Call (959) 800-0300.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. RoamLink is month to month, so you can cancel, upgrade or change plans before your next billing cycle. Changes typically take effect the same day. To move between RoamLink and carrier-direct, contact our support team.
What equipment do I need?
Rent or buy a RoamLink-ready device, or bring your own compatible router, hotspot or phone on eligible plans. For the best speed and reliability we recommend a Cat 7 or higher cellular router such as Peplink. Pocket plans go on an unlocked phone with a free eSIM slot. Carrier-direct plans work in Peplink routers only.
Is there a contract? Can I cancel any time?
Neither plan type requires a contract. RoamLink is prepaid month to month, and if you cancel, service continues through the end of the paid period. A 12-month plan option is available on select plans for a reduced device price. Carrier-direct plans are month to month, and you can return one within 7 days of activation.
Can I pause my service?
Yes. Pause RoamLink for up to 12 months for $10 a month and keep your current rate when you return. Contact our team to set it up. Carrier-direct plans can't be paused.
Does unused data roll over?
On RoamLink Flex, yes. Unused data rolls over for 90 days, and you can top off anytime for longer trips. Core data resets each month. Infinity and Dual-Link are unlimited.
Can I use my plan outside the United States?
RoamLink plans on this page work inside the United States. Need international coverage for a fleet or team? RoamLink Business includes access in 190+ countries.
