The second filter is the patented 0.2 micron filter. The smaller micron size means greater protection - similar systems use less effective filters that are 1 micron or larger. This filter is focused on safety of the water to create clean drinking water.
The third and last filter is all about taste and smell. This filter uses activated carbon and coconut shell to improve your water's taste and smell factor. It has also been shown to remove small amounts of chlorine if present in the water.
