The Peplink MAX Transit Pro is the next generation dual modem mobile router from Peplink and our best selling router. This latest modem Transit features WIFI 6, remote sim capabilities, Docker, upgraded memory and the faster Transit processor yet  making it ideal for combining multiple high speed internet connections including Starlink and multiple LTE/5G devices. The Transit Pro has 2 onboard LTE-A cellular modems onboard. A Category-7 Modem with support for Band-71 and other newer bands as well as a Category-12 modem are embedded. By pairing CAT-7 and CAT-12 this router is optimized for AT&T, T-Mobile & Verizon and is certified by all three carriers. Add an external 5G router easily with Synergy mode allowing you to daisy chain additional Peplink devices for even more bandwidth, speed and redundany. Virtual WAN allows for up to 2 wired WAN sources, popular for customers wanted to add Starlink or T-Mobile home internet. The expansion capabilities are near limitless.

The Transit Pro includes SpeedFusion Cloud cellular bonding licenses as part of the active PrimeCare subscription. SpeedFusion is a proprietary technology capable of utilizing a cloud server to virtually bond multiple internet connections together into a unified internet connection. 1TB of SpeedFusion cloud and 1 year of SpeedFusion Cloud is included with your purchase, additional 1TB allotments may be purchased for $40.00.

The Transit also has an embedded wireless controller letting you add external wireless access points for even larger deployments. The Transit's integrated wireless controller manages additional access points from its central management console. Thanks to automatic failover switching and multiple SIM slots (4x) with multi-carrier support, you will always be connected while on the road using a single, easy to use device. The Transit Pro utilizes nano sim cards.

Optional Heatsink

Peplink Transit devices are designed to operate in a variety of environmental conditions and utilize solid state technology which use the case of the device to dissipate heat. This is possible because the Peplink Transit series case is made of metal which is excellent at heat dissipation. This heatsink is not required for most installations, but it can add additional cooling properties to certain higher heat installations.

Two Embedded Cellular Modems

This mobile router is equipped with two embedded cellular modems. This will allow you to utilize two cellular connections at the same time, providing advanced traffic routing and load balancing capabilities as well as near-instant failover from one provider to another. Internet traffic can be routed in a variety of ways using Peplink's proprietary Outbound Policy Management Algorithms. Dual modem devices may be capable of utilizing SpeedFusion technology, also known as "WAN bonding", which may require separate licensing. See SpeedFusion section below.

Category 12 Modem

The mobile router is equipped with one or more category 12 LTE Advanced cellular modems with a maximum download speed of 600Mbps and a maximum upload speed of 150Mbps (typical speeds range from 10-75mbps depending on cellular network conditions and coverage). The category of the modem impacts the maximum upload and download speed of the device and what cellular bands or "channels" the device can connect to. Cellular bands act similarly to "channels" on television, each cellular provider broadcasts on specific bands. Category 12 modems support connecting to the primary bands of all major carriers such as Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T and include additional LTE secondary bands for increased speed and coverage in many areas. This includes access to Band 14, AT&T's FirstNET band. For a complete list of bands supported, click the documentation tab for detailed specifications.

Category 12 modems are extremely popular as they blend strong performance and maximum data plan compatibility. Category 12 modems are very popular for mobile workers and for those who consider the internet "mission-critical" (dual modem device recommended). Category 12 modems are capable of video calling, VOIP, streaming,  general internet use, and, when paired with a dual modem capable device, support bonding of multiple cellular connections. See SpeedFusion section for more information.

Category 7 Modem

This mobile router is equipped with one or more category 7 LTE Advanced cellular modems with a maximum download speed of 300Mbps and a maximum upload speed of 150Mbps (typical speeds range from 10-75mbps depending on cellular network conditions and coverage). The category of the modem impacts the maximum upload and download speed of the device and what cellular bands or "channels" the device can connect to. Cellular bands act similarly to "channels" on television, each cellular provider broadcasts on specific bands. Category 7 modems support connecting to the primary bands of all major carriers such as Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T and include additional LTE secondary bands for increased speed and coverage in many areas. This includes access to Band 14, AT&T's FirstNET band and Band 71 for TMobile's rural band. For a complete list of bands supported, click the documentation tab for detailed specifications.

Category 7 modems are extremely popular as they blend strong performance and maximum data plan compatibility and value. Category 7 modems are very popular for mobile workers and for those who consider the internet "mission-critical" as they come in many dual modem mobile routers capable of bonding. Category 7 modems are capable of video calling, VOIP, streaming,  general internet use, and, when paired with a dual modem capable device, support bonding of multiple cellular connections. See SpeedFusion section for more information.

Licensed for SpeedFusion

This device is licensed for SpeedFusion access. SpeedFusion is Peplink's proprietary WAN bonding solution that can bond multiple internet connections together into a single, more resilient connection for added connection reliability. SpeedFusion-capable devices create a VPN tunnel that allows multiple internet connections to act as a single connection. SpeedFusion supports WAN-Smoothing, a technology that helps to prevent packet loss which is typically the cause for unstable internet connections. In order to utilize SpeedFusion you must either host your own SpeedFusion instance at a secondary location/datacenter or use Peplink's SpeedFusion Cloud service which is available for an additional monthly subscription fee. This device includes data allotment for SpeedFusion cloud transfer at up to 100Mbps per second (amount of data will change based on the hardware). For more information on SpeedFusion and SpeedFusion Cloud, please reach out to us below.

Roof Antenna Recommended

This mobile router comes with indoor antennas that provide 3db of cellular gain. Upgrading to an optional roof antenna can provide significant signal improvement by moving the cellular antenna outside, at higher elevation and provide you the benefit of an antenna with higher gain specifications. Roof antennas can be added now with a bundle discount by checking out our Internet Bundle Section, or at a later date based on your needs.

Supports WiFi-as-WAN

This device supports WiFi-As-WAN, meaning you can pick up public WiFi signals from hotspots, campgrounds, and other sources to rebroadcast them into your coach and use them as your local internet. The wireless antennas included with this modem will pick up these signals and rebroadcast them locally within your own WiFi network.

*Using public WiFi may be unreliable due to external environmental forces typically outside of customer's control and as such public WiFi is recommended to be used as a secondary backup connection.

WiFi 6 Technology

WiFi 6 expands the WiFi band from 80 MHz to 160 MHz, doubling the channel width and creating a faster connection from your router to the device. With WiFi 6, you can enjoy 8K movies, large file downloads and uploads, and responsive smart home devices – all without buffering. WiFi 6 allows for speeds of up to 9.6 gigabits per second (Gbps), up from WiFi 5's 3.5 Gbps.

This means faster internal file transfers and less speed loss between the modem to your device.

FirstNet Ready

This device is FirstNet Ready! FirstNet is the nationwide public safety communications platform dedicated to America's first responders. Being built with AT&T, in public-private partnership with the FirstNet Authority, FirstNet utilizes Band-14, which is reserved for public safety but is also being marketed as available to the public for additional bandwidth capacity. In testing Band-14 has been made available during non-emergency situations to the public to provide additional bandwidth and coverages to customers who have a modem that supports FirstNet's Band-14. Not all modems that support Band-14 are "FirstNet Certified" however they typically can connect to Band-14 in most areas. Information on FirstNet certifications can be found on Specification sheets located on the Documentation Tab. Additional information about FirstNet's use and technology can be found in this article from our friends at the RV Mobile Internet Resource Center.

Band 71 Ready

This device supports Band 71. Band 71 is T-Mobile's rural cellular band that operates on 600mhz which provides significant increases in coverage on the T-Mobile network for customers traveling outside of urban areas. 5G ready devices that support Band 71 typically also support Band 71n which is the 5G band for T-Mobile. Note that not all devices are 5G devices so check the listing above but with or without 5G you will still achieve increased coverage on the T-Mobile network with any device that supports Band 71. For more information about Band 71, check out the Band 71 Guide from our friends at the Mobile Internet Resource Center

    Easy to Install

Love this router, easy install, easy interface (for a techy guy). The unit ran hotter than what I was comfortable, so I bought cooling fins and that fixed the heat issue quite well.

    Really easy to use

I actually got this ahead of my budget schedule in order to get a better WiFi signal into the RV. Works like a charm, and was very easy for me to set up. So now instead of me having bad WiFi at the end of the house (Router is on other end) my Transit Duo in the rig parked outside is bridging it to me with a very sensitive receiver and great transmitter.. so no more issues. Cannot wait to get a mobile plan from MMH and get on the road once I am done building my RV conversion

Works great as I travel all over the west.

I have used pepwave since 20. each unit is an improvement over the last model. With speed fusion I have good dependable service most of the time even in poorly covered areas.

    Great addition

Initially hooked it up with the small antennas that come with the unit and saw a vast improvement over the hot spot I had been using with the exact same sim card that came out of the hot spot. Once I got the external parsec Husky Pro 7-in-1 antenna install on the roof and hooked up things just got even better. Normally my wife takes care of the computer stuff, I do the electrical and mechanical. She was busy with work, so I had to figure out how to get everything set up. With the help of the videos, I was able to get everything running including starlink. Was even able to get the speed fusion set up. I think we now have a system that my wife can continue to work from the road, and we will be able to go and do things together.

    Still the best out there.

Let our old Peplink Transit model go with our RV when we sold it (requested by purchaser). This is just a new one for the current RV. We tried the Winegard Air that came with our RV, but it just didn't stand up to the Peplink. Installation was in a cabinet this time, so we added heatsink. It does a great job of dissipating the heat.
