This 3-meter length provides additional installation flexibility when the connected Victron components cannot be mounted immediately next to each other. It is particularly useful when a solar charge controller, battery monitor, charger, or other compatible device is installed in an electrical compartment while the GX communication device is located elsewhere in the system.
Connect Compatible Victron Equipment to GX Systems
VE.Direct is Victron's wired communication interface used across a range of compatible power-system components. This cable provides the physical connection needed to link supported VE.Direct equipment directly to an available VE.Direct port on a GX device such as the Cerbo GX or Cerbo GX MK2.
Depending on the connected equipment and GX system, this connection allows operating information from compatible devices to be incorporated into the centralized Victron monitoring environment. When the GX device is connected to the internet and configured for Victron Remote Management, information from connected equipment can also be incorporated into the broader VRM monitoring system.
