This high performance POE injector enables you to convert your Starlink Mini (see chart in images for correct dish support) to run on DC power and over a standard ethernet cable eliminating the need for the Starlink power supply that relies on AC power and allowing for external router support (optional). Unlike cheaper kits on Amazon and Ebay our kits are capable of outputting up to 100W at 48V to the Starlink Mini ensuring the dish will perform optimally with maximum upload and download speeds. This kit includes a DC Step up converter, PoE Injector and PoE to DC Splitter (48V DC Out) at the dish end, as well as weather resistant connectors at the dish end giving you everything you need except a standard CAT6 ethernet to convert your Starlink Mini into a full functioning Starlink with PoE support. Whats better, unlike the factory Starlink mini, you can also connect this up to your Peplink router with a single cable instead of needing separate power and ethernet cables. This kit accepts standard CAT6 ethernet cables allowing you to create the ultimate and custom cable length solution. The included weather resistant grommet will seal in your external CAT6 connector ends ensuring a weather resistant seal for all weather use.  This kit accepts 9-30v DC power input via the DC power terminal and outputs 48v to the Starlink Mini dish. The listing page also has an optional 12v power output cable which can be used to power a Peplink router for a simplified solution with only one 12v power cable needed from your battery.

Kit Incudes:

  • High Wattage Step Up Converter and Passive POE Injector (accepts DC Input Voltage of 9-30v and outputs via POE at a max of 150W (100W Max using Mini Adapter)
  • Starlink Mini PoE to DC/Ethernet adapter (48v Output) with 1000Mbps support and weather resistant connectors at the dish and ethernet connectors
  • USB-A 12V accessory power output which can be used with optional cable to power Peplink router for simplified wiring (20W Max) DO NOT PLUG A USB ACCESSORY SUCH AS A PHONE INTO THIS PORT, THIS IS A 12 VOLT PORT NOT A 5V PORT
  • USB-C 5V output (not used, available to power 5V USB accessories
  • Wiring Instructions

Kit Requires

  • Starlink Mini Dish (see pictures for compatible dish)
  • Shielded CAT5E/CAT6 Ethernet Cable (required)
  • 12-24 fused Power Input from vehicle batteries. Typically 14-12 gauge on 12-24v input with a fused home run from house battery is recommended (possibly larger wire for longer runs, consult an electrician for proper wiring sizing on DC power systems). If you think you might upgrade to a larger Starlink dish, run 10AWG wire now to future proof your install.

Optional Accessories

  • USB-A to 4 Pin Molex cable for powering Peplink routers with 4 pin power connector. See photos for details. DO NOT PLUG A USB ACCESSORY SUCH AS A PHONE INTO THIS PORT

Disclaimer: . This product has been tested by MobileMustHave staff to be functional and reliable. This kit is not designed to be used in conjunction with the Starlink router which may also output power and create an unsafe condition. This kit is also not designed to be operated with other PoE switches or accessories as Starlink uses proprietary passive PoE technology. Wiring diagrams are available in the listing page. We are not responsible for improper use or any damage as a result of using this product.

Notice: For proper performance you must connect the lightning arrestor ground port to chassis ground. Without grounding the lightning arrestor ground the Starlink cable will not be properly grounded and will result in packet loss. Additional instructions are included in our wiring diagrams.

Works perfectly with MMH supplied shielded Cat 6 cable.

Buy both from MMH and they work together. It cheaper less capable option on Amazon and you have to hack the cable and water tight POE fitting.

PS I’m putting this on a boat not an RV but that’s not an option I can select.

    Good product

Has been operating without incident since installation. Wish there was a version without the extra outputs and it could be a little smaller. Very much appreciate the POE de-couple adapter for the Starlink Mini as well. The link is just barely long enough to pass through my surface mount and keep the adapter part below but it is long enough by about a half inch.

    Great product!

Works as described. In conjunction with a Starlink mini mesh router I can place the mini dish far away from my camper and have strong wifi.

    Great device but…..

This is a great way to get a single cable solution for your Starlink mini, however, the waterproof port that your cable goes in is way too small. I had to trim all the plastic of and force it through the cap. If it had just a little more space it would be great.

Easy Upgrade from Gen2 Actuated PoE

Previously, I was running the Gen2 Actuated Starlink in bypass mode using a 12V-to-48V transformer to power a PoE injector. I replaced my Actuated Starlink with the Mini Starlink and am very happy with this PoE supply--it is compact and simple to install. I might like the "pig-tails" of the splitter to be just a little longer--not a big issue. Another "nice-to-have" would be an "alternate AC power supply" that you could plug-in when on shore-power--I like the simplicity of having just 1-cable to the dish--easier to move the antenna around on a tripod when avoiding obstructions obstructions without bothering with a second power cable.

    Smart plug conversion.

I used your DC power conversion kit to power my mini through a 2025 Airstream using the smart plug.

tarlink Mini PoE DC Power Conversion Kit REVIEW

I have the MINI with pole mount and bought a pole adapter so I could run cables inside to protect the Cat6 POE from the weather. Had to create a barrel adapter for pole to accommodate the PoE DC unit.

    Pros: Kit works.

    Cons:

    1. The PoE DC unit power connection ports ARE TOO SMALL FOR ANY CRIMPTED ROUND LUGS

as the screw terminals will only take a 18awg wire max. You cannot "futureproof" the wiring with 10awg !!

    2. There is no documentation on the USB-C 5v port amp/wattage rating that I could find. Be nice to know but do I have a GLI.NET Wifi router working on it fine so its likely 3amps.

    3. The pig tail plugs are too short for easy placement - they need to be 2-3" longer.

    Bottomline:

Unit works well but could be improved in next edition - sadly I will not get a chance to use it.

Thanks for taking the time to provide us with your feedback, Brad. To your 1st point, you can connect 10-gauge wires to those input terminals if you use standard yellow ring terminals, which can be sourced from a local hardware store or from Amazon. 2. The 5V port does max out at 3amps and should be compatible with your Wi-Fi router. 3. The pigtails were designed to be used with a flat mount, rather than a pole mount, which is why they're so short. We'll look into the possibility of designing some with longer cables. Feel free to contact our customer service team at info@mobilemusthave.com if you have any follow up questions.
