This high performance POE injector enables you to convert your Starlink Mini (see chart in images for correct dish support) to run on DC power and over a standard ethernet cable eliminating the need for the Starlink power supply that relies on AC power and allowing for external router support (optional). Unlike cheaper kits on Amazon and Ebay our kits are capable of outputting up to 100W at 48V to the Starlink Mini ensuring the dish will perform optimally with maximum upload and download speeds. This kit includes a DC Step up converter, PoE Injector and PoE to DC Splitter (48V DC Out) at the dish end, as well as weather resistant connectors at the dish end giving you everything you need except a standard CAT6 ethernet to convert your Starlink Mini into a full functioning Starlink with PoE support. Whats better, unlike the factory Starlink mini, you can also connect this up to your Peplink router with a single cable instead of needing separate power and ethernet cables. This kit accepts standard CAT6 ethernet cables allowing you to create the ultimate and custom cable length solution. The included weather resistant grommet will seal in your external CAT6 connector ends ensuring a weather resistant seal for all weather use. This kit accepts 9-30v DC power input via the DC power terminal and outputs 48v to the Starlink Mini dish. The listing page also has an optional 12v power output cable which can be used to power a Peplink router for a simplified solution with only one 12v power cable needed from your battery.

Kit Requires
- Starlink Mini Dish (see pictures for compatible dish)
- CAT6 Ethernet Cable (optional at checkout)
- 12-24 fused Power Input from vehicle batteries. Typically 14-12 gauge on 12-24v input with a fused home run from house battery is recommended (possibly larger wire for longer runs, consult an electrician for proper wiring sizing on DC power systems). If you think you might upgrade to a larger Starlink dish, run 10AWG wire now to future proof your install.

The wire connectors for the DC power in are far too small. 10AWG /12AWG is going to be standard for most install of this device depending on the length of your cable runs but there is simply no way to fit a 10AWG wire into the terminal. I had to down size to 12AWG which still was not an easy “fit” for the terminals on the device.
Secondly, the pigtails on the Mini PoE splitter portion are too short if you’re using the pole mount backing with the Starlink Mini (which everyone does). You have to route both ends of the pigtail through one exit in the pole mount backing and it just makes it a pain to install. .
The PoE splitter was well constructed and mine did have waterproof flanges on all ends which worked nicely with the Mini.
The commentary about how they test this device extensively in their launch video leaves a sour taste in my mouth as these are base line things that you would run into on any real-world install which they clearly didn’t do. They even suggest 10-12AWG on the sales page, and they didn’t bother to test that or if they did, weren’t up for changing the design?
It works, but could definitely be improved.

We've also found that most of our customers prefer to use a temporary/portable mount for the Mini, so that they have the ability to move the dish around and away from tree cover. This is why we designed the splitter to be small and sleek, so that it can be easily stashed beneath the Mini while mounted. Great having a one-wire solution but there are a few things that should be improved.
1. Not Fully Shielded
The power converter does provide a ground terminal and a shielded POE port which is great. However the input to the breakout adapter does not have a metal shield to mate with a shielded ethernet able. The ethernet pigtail is shielded but is useless as there is no continuity back to earth ground. I am concerned about possible equipment damage in my desert area due to static buildup and no lightning protection.
2. Pigtails are too short.
I use the Starlink OEM pole mount and the pigtail length is not long enough to pass through the back side of the mount. There is *just* enough length to insert down the pipe in the adapter. So yes, it does work but another 3-6 inches of length would really make life easier here.
3. Power plug on pigtail adapter does not have water proofing “flanges”.
The power plug has no water proofing flanges on the one I received. The photos on your website do show a weather proof plug similar to the Starlink OEM plugs, but that is not what I received. I purchased the optional dust & water cap set that they don't come close to staying put on the power plug.
4. The screw terminals on the power adapter are too small.
I prefer to use either spade or ring terminal connectors instead of bare wire. That allows for a cleaner install with no possibility of a stray wire strand shorting something. The screw terminals are too small for even 18-20 AWG…

The WiFi in the Starlink Mini is terrible and I wanted to pair it with my existing router using a single cable for a semi-permanent roof rack installation. This kit is pretty straight forward, taking 12v input directly outputting 48.4 volts according to my volt meter. Note you need to supply your own ethernet cable from the dongle to the DC power supply included and that cable needs to have relatively small ethernet heads on it to fit through the adapter. One of the cables I tested had extra rubber around the plug I needed to shave off using a razor blade but otherwise the install was easy. Note that you CANNOT reverse the polarity on this unit accidentally, I found that out the hard way. Check your POS and NEG wiring and have your fuse removed during the wiring to avoid problems. Overall kit is working great, very happy to have ditched the 120v power brick.
