Product Summary

The Victron MultiPlus-II 24/3000/70-50 2x120V is a 24V inverter/charger designed for professional-grade mobile and off-grid power systems. It combines a 3000VA inverter, 70A battery charger, and 50A transfer switch in one Victron platform for RV, marine, overland, mobile workspace, and off-grid installations.

This 2x120V model is especially useful in many 50A RV-style AC systems because, when operating from battery power, it provides 120V single-phase output to loads on both L1 and L2 output legs. It does not create 240V power from the battery by itself; 240V loads require a proper split-phase 120/240V AC source or a correctly designed multi-unit system.

As part of a complete Victron-based mobile power ecosystem, the MultiPlus-II can work with compatible monitoring, charging, battery, and control components to help customers build a more capable and visible power system for life on the move.

Real-World Power Expectations

As a single unit, this inverter/charger is best understood as a practical “one major appliance plus everyday background loads” power solution. In a properly sized system, it may typically support one larger AC load at a time along with smaller loads such as lights, fans, device chargers, TVs, routers, Starlink, computers, or a CPAP machine. Actual performance depends on battery capacity, wiring, installation, appliance draw, configuration, temperature, and what else is running at the same time.

For larger systems, Victron inverter/chargers can be used in expanded configurations when properly designed and configured. In those systems, total capability depends on the number of units, battery bank, AC layout, charging sources, and overall system design.

Best For

  • 24V RV, marine, overland, and off-grid power systems
  • Many 50A RV applications that need 120V inverter output available on both AC panel legs
  • Mobile power systems using lithium batteries, shore power, generator input, or solar charging
  • Customers building a complete Victron-based power ecosystem with monitoring and controls
  • Installations where inverter power, AC charging, and transfer switching are needed in one unit

Core Features

  • Combines an inverter, battery charger, and transfer switching in one Victron platform
  • 24V battery system design with 3000VA inverter capacity
  • 2400W continuous output at 25°C, with 5500W peak power
  • 70A battery charger for recharging a 24V battery bank from a compatible AC source
  • 50A transfer switch for integrating shore power, generator power, or another supported AC input
  • 2x120V output behavior supplies 120V loads on both L1 and L2 output legs in inverter mode
  • PowerControl and PowerAssist help manage limited shore or generator power on L1 input
  • VE.Bus communication supports monitoring, system integration, and advanced Victron configurations
