Product Summary

The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 is a professional-grade inverter/charger designed for 12V battery systems in RV, van, marine, overland, and off-grid applications. It combines a 3000VA pure sine wave inverter, a powerful 120A battery charger, and a 50A transfer switch into a single, space-saving solution for dependable mobile power.

This standard 120V model is designed to provide 120V AC output from a compatible battery system and is commonly used in properly designed 30A RV, van, marine, overland, and off-grid installations. It integrates seamlessly into the broader Victron ecosystem, allowing you to expand your system with solar charging, battery monitoring, GX devices, remote management, and additional charging sources as your power needs grow.

Important: This is the standard 120V MultiPlus-II model. It is not the 2x120V version. If your application requires a 2x120V output configuration for certain 50A RV electrical systems, be sure to select the appropriate MultiPlus-II 2x120V model instead.

Real-World Power Expectations

As a single unit, this inverter/charger is best understood as a practical "one major appliance plus everyday background loads" power solution. In a properly designed system, it may typically support one larger AC load at a time along with smaller loads such as lights, fans, televisions, routers, Starlink, computers, device chargers, or a CPAP machine. Actual performance depends on battery capacity, wiring, installation quality, appliance draw, system configuration, temperature, and what else is operating at the same time.

For larger power requirements, compatible Victron systems can be expanded through properly designed parallel, split-phase, or three-phase configurations.

Best For

  • 30A RV electrical systems using standard 120V AC power
  • 12V lithium battery systems needing inverter power and AC charging in one unit
  • RV, van, marine, overland, and off-grid power systems
  • Applications requiring seamless transfer between shore power, generator power, and battery power
  • Customers building a complete Victron-based mobile power ecosystem with future expansion in mind

Core Features

  • 3000VA pure sine wave inverter with up to 2400W continuous output at 25°C
  • Integrated 120A battery charger for fast charging from shore or generator power
  • 50A transfer switch automatically changes between AC input and inverter operation
  • Standard 120V AC output for compatible North American mobile power systems
  • PowerAssist and PowerControl help maximize limited shore or generator power
  • Less than 20ms transfer time helps keep sensitive electronics running during AC interruptions
  • Dual AC outputs allow priority loads while preventing selected loads from discharging the battery
  • Supports parallel, split-phase, and three-phase system configurations when properly designed
  • VE.Bus communication enables integration with GX devices, VRM remote monitoring, and the Victron ecosystem
