I purchased the Trio speed mount and used the magnets and landing pads on my RV fiberglass roof. I needed to remove it to replace to cable with a shorter one and I needed to pry on one end to release.
Using these feet with the TRIO Speedmount. They are super strong, and the vinyl coating doesn’t noticeably interfere with the holding power
I got these to attach my mini to multiple RV's using the VHB metal disks and the magnets on the mount. My issue is that its impossible to remove the mount from the RV roof without actually pulling the roof membrane from the top of the camper. The VHB disks are firmly mounted to the roof and the magnets stick great, but no mortal could pull the magnets from the roof without tearing the disks from the roof or the roof from the camper. The magnets are too strong. Each pad has 6 magnets in it and for this application thats just to many. Three or four would have been plenty. I had to remove the mount from the pads and then remove the magnet pads one at a time from the metal disks on the roof. Not exactly what I had in mind. So bottom line is, you dont have to worry that your Starlink will blow off your roof if held on by these magnets. If you want to easily remove the mount from the RV and move to another, or a vehicle, its going to take some work...
Easy to install
Worked great in speeds of 80mph, high winds, and storms
I wanted to avoid drilling any holes or adding another mounting surface - and this fit the requirement. This allows me to move my Starlink antenna to multiple vehicles and has a strong connection to the roof (or any metal surface). It is not too difficult to remove the assembly starting at one corner and carefully lifting. Works great!
The magnets are weak, you can buy similar ones on Amazon for 15-20 bucks.
Places for attaching magnets of different thicknesses - I had to put washers that were not included in the kit to screw the magnets.
not worth the price...
