The Doberman antenna is a high-performance, 5G (600MHz – 6GHz) antenna, available in 2xCellular 2xWiFi and 1xGPS.  A top-performing all-in-one antenna in a compact profile with exceptoinal performance characteristics.

The Doberman is made by Parsec Technology based in the Dallas Texas area and is US-made. The Parsec Doberman is recommended to be installed with a ground plane or on a metal roof for optimal performance. Additional information is available below on ground planes.

This antenna comes with 84" (7 feet) of cable.
Omni-Directional Antenna

This antenna is an omni-directional antenna. Omni-directional antennas are designed to pick up signals in a 360-degree pattern around the antenna and do not require that they be aimed or pointed at the cellular or WIFI broadcasting tower.  Omni-directional antennas offer a blend of performance and ease of use over directional antennas that may have higher performance and gain specifications.  Omni-directional antennas also perform well if a customer is utilizing multiple cellular or WIFI connections that may be broadcasting in different directions, for example if a customer has data plans from multiple cellular providers and cell towers are in different directions. Omni-directional antennas are the preferred style of antenna for mobile travelers and those who change their location and method of connecting to the internet frequently as they offer solid performance without the need to point the antenna.

Directional antennas may be better suited than omni-directional antennas for customers with fixed locations such as rural home or business customers.

No Ground Plane Required!

The antennas on this page do not require a ground plane, but adding one will typically improve performance if your installation will allow it. Ground planes are metal sheets of metal (typically aluminum or galvanized steel) that the antenna mounts on top of. For optimal performance a ground plane of a minimum of 16" in diameter is typically recommended. The ground plane does not need to be grounded or wired to the chassis ground of the vehicle, the metal sheet simply helps the cellular and WiFi signals bounce into the antenna optimizing performance. Ground planes are available in various sizes on our store including a flexible adhesive ground plane or a 16 inch aluminum ground plane. For more information on ground planes visit the Ground Plane Guide on Mobile Internet Resource Center.

Which Roof Antenna is Right for Me?

We have a variety of choices for roof antennas based on your particular installation need. In general, higher priced antennas have better performance and are future proofed for newer technology, such as Nationwide 5G, making upgrades down the road easier. Higher performance antennas may be larger, so size and installation requirements is a consideration. We offer a variety of options for customers with unique installation requirements, mounting requirements, brand or budget preference. We have put together our 5-in-1 Antenna Comparison Chart to help aid in your decision as well as a video outlining some top choices. Still not sure? Parsec Doberman 5-1 Antenna Installation

I have installed the antenna on our RV and did not have any problems. I did make a stand and groundplane for the antenna and bolted it to the roof. So far it seems to be preforming just fine.

    Parsec Doberman

I have not installed this antenna yet but I am sure it will work just fine. I gave it three stars because I do not like, nor was I aware, that all cables exit the antenna at the base middle in one large and bulky loom

I would have preferred the antenna loom to be channeled flush within the base and then exit from a side. Would have been a much cleaner design and would have provided more installation options.

Thank you for providing us with your honest feedback on the Doberman. I reviewed the listing page and I noticed that there aren't any photos that show the cables and how they exit the antenna. I'll reach out to our dev team and see if we can get a new photo added to the page.

That being said, this is pretty common practice for many cellular antennas. Parsec and Poynting are 2 of the largest manufacturers of these kinds of antennas, and nearly all of their omnidirectional antennas have this kind cable exit configuration. One potential solution: Parsec also makes mounting attachments for nearly all of their antennas, including the Doberman:

Adding one of the mounting brackets should give you some more flexibility for routing the cables.

I also want to mention that we have a customer service team and a support staff that are here 5 days a week, from 9-6 (EST). Feel free to hop into our chat room or shoot us an email if you have any questions about different mounting options. We're here to help if you need us.

Parcec Doberman 5-in-1 Antenna with 5G/600mhz Support

We have been using a Parsec Router Pepwave MAX BR1 MK2 with a Parsec Doberman 5-in-1 Antenna with 5G/600mhz Support for the past 1 1/2 years which has worked out really well for us. When we recently purchased a new rv we wanted to continue using the same setup so we took the router with us and installed a new antenna on the new rig. This setup continues to meet our needs as we travel 3-4 months out of the year. MobileMustHave shipped the antenna quickly to us within a few days. We also use their 800GB/month data plan and are generally able to stream without problems except when we were near the Western National Parks where everyone was having problems. If you are thinking about mobile internet I would recommend contacting MobileMustHave for their advice as to what setup would work for you.

    Overall it is good!

Would have liked the ability to interchange cable length or have extensions ready as an option

    Working well so far

Very good experience. I had questions on which antenna to install and Catlin helped me choose which would be best. Instructions for the magnet mount were not as good as expected, like (maybe obvious) removing the paper cover for the adhesive to stick to the magnet mount. I did not come with a wire loom, which would have been nice.
