When I upgraded to Blu Tech, I debated whether to buy the system that included this cap but decided, being retired with nothing but time on my hands, to save the money and do the Re-gen the old fashioned way. Then I observed that it didn't get done as often as it should because of the hassle involved so I bought this. After using it for the first time (about 2 months later than I should have) I am convinced I should have purchased it in the first place. It makes back flushing and salt Re-gen a breeze. I have no excuse for delaying the needed maintenance on my softener. This is an absolute genius system that should be on every softener.
I really like this cap so i do not have to unmount my Softner to refresh.
