The Peplink SpeedFusion Connect Relay device is designed to be installed behind a home or office firewall with the purpose of allowing your remote Peplink devices to connect to your home or office network. This can also be used to route internet traffic from your Peplink device through your home or office internet connection (relay) which can be helpful to customers who wish to utilize SpeedFusion Connect services with streaming services such as Netflix. By routing your remote Peplink traffic through your home or office internet connection, you can take advantage of the benefits of SpeedFusion Connect while allowing streaming services to operate without warning that a VPN service is in use. Note that a relay device is not needed if you have Peplink devices already in your home or office managing your internet connection.

Having trouble connecting?

If the default username and password aren't working, you can connect your SpeedFusion Connect Relay to your home network's LAN port and add it to your InControl group via your relay's serial number. Peplink is aware of this issue and is working to resolve it.

    Peplink Connect Relay - Simple

Item has worked seamless thus far for streaming from the RV. It was super simple to add it via Peplink’s new app. If you had issues with your streaming services before while on the road; this may be your fix.

Works pretty well except password issue

This has allowed me to stream TV in my RV using my bonded cloud VPN connection. Only issue is that incontrol cannot manage the password so I have to set incontrol to display only and then set password locally on the relay.

Hi john, You can manage the devices local password via incontrol. You would start by accessing the local device admin console via incontrol which is shown in the attached screenshot. Once that pops up the devices local admin page you can reset the password to the local device just like you would normally. This password is only used when accessing the device locally via the LAN IP address. For remote access you would use the incontrol login credentials. These are separate by design for added security and this is how Peplink and all other firewall manufacturers operate cloud based management platforms as it is considered best practices for security to have these credentials always separate. Incontrol can apply passwords via policy to all of your group devices though if you have more than one device and want local passwords set at the group policy level. That would be a great topic for the member forums if you're interested in learning more on that topic. Thanks!

Doesn't Work Without Paying for a Speedfusion Relay Service Plan

Setting this device up is very simple. My friend plugged it in at his house, sent me the serial number, and I was able to add it to my InControl group. Unfortunately, after that, I became frustrated as the device is not capable of creating a VPN connection with my RV router directly. It requires paying for a data plan for Peplink's Speedfusion Connect service. While I understand the networking issues that might require utilizing a public server to help initiate the connection, I'm frustrated that the data has to be routed through Peplink's servers and cannot just go directly between my router and the SpeedFusion Connect Relay.

    DIY install?

There were no instructions on how to hook this up. The YouTube videos were helpful but not complete. I looked on the MMH site and found some information but it was not geared to using a non-Peplnk router on the home side.

I was able to get it connected to my home network and my Balance 20x could recognize it but there were some the part where I could connected the two routers together to create the link between home and motorhome doesn't appear on my Peplink app.
