This requires another connection in order to "start". My Verizon hotspot would not work to make it happen. I canceled and will try something that uses physical SIM cards.
Thanks for taking the time to provide us with your feedback, Kerry. After reviewing your ticket, it looks like the Primecare license on your router has lapsed. We have a simple solution to provide the additional connection needed to connect to the original M Plans in the form of the complimentary Peplink eSim that we offer, but your router has to be under warranty in order to use it.
Update: We just added a new version of the M100 (and M300) that includes the option to use a sim card for the plan rather than an eSim. Using a sim card with these plans eliminates the need to have another connection. You can choose this option by purchasing the plan and selecting the box that says "M Series Physical Sim Card" before you add it to your cart. On paper, this plan seems like a winner however there are a few issues that you need to be aware of. First, you do not have control over the carrier that is used so lets say your Peplink router is connected to Verizon and you have a poor connection (slow upload or download speeds), you cannot easily change to another provider. You need to submit a ticket to make a change and that does not happen until your ticket is worked on which can take days if it is over a weekend. Second, the reliability of the eSim technology is not rock solid as we have experienced outages where the eSim will lose connection and have difficulty reconnecting. If you are going to use the eSim, make sure you have a secondary internet source and if you are using Starlink, you may want a third internet source if you cannot use your Starlink for whatever reason. You will need the secondary internet source to reactivate the eSim if you lose power to the Peplink router as well. I think with some additional development, the eSim product could be a viable alternative for those that require a rock solid internet connection.

I have been looking for a multi-carrier option and now it is available through MobileMustHave. Very happy with the M500 plan thus far.
This gets the job done most of the time. Granted, I am currently using it in one location as I am on hiatus from traveling. Most of the time it has decent enough speeds, but, has occasional drops that lead to me having to use my phone's hotspot. Weirdly, the plan uses the same network that my phone does.

It's important to keep in mind that certain factors like your proximity to cell towers and network congestion can play a role in how fast your speeds are. That being said, it's also possible that an adjustment to your configuration settings could help to improve your speeds. This is exactly the kind of multi-sim product I thought I was looking for. The ability to connect to whatever network is best in a given area would have been amazing. But sadly this is not the case. Turns out you get locked into a specific carrier and the only way to change it is by messaging their support and asking them to change it. On top of that they will only change it if your speeds are less than 3mbps which is laughably low if you plan on depending on this for your livelihood/work. Since this information is not listed on the product page I feel deceived. This is not the product I thought I was paying for.
After messaging with support it seems this limitation is primarily on the Peplink side which does not support FusionSIM carrier prioritization currently. I have been very impressed with MobileMustHave and Peplink in the past, and I have high hopes that this limitation will be resolved soon. But still, I feel like I have been mislead. Maybe even intentionally so. This is pertinent information that should have been included in the product page at the time of my purchase.
