I had let my free SpeedFusion license lapse so when i recently added Starlink to my system I had to pay to be able to use SpeedFusion. I have a P1000 plan and a Starklink Roaming plan and equipment. To be honest I haven’t seen much value with speed fusion. While it will link the two signals, the performance is so slow it is not useful. So I don’t use or really need speed fusion. I gave it three stars because the connection works. I terms of value and performance, it is not worth the cost or license.
Thanks for taking the time to provide us with your feedback, Patrick. Primecare is a license feature that Peplink requires to use features like SpeedFusion and InControl. The cost of the license is factored into the cost of the router and allows Peplink to build and maintain the expansive infrastructure needed to support these features and technology. You don't need to pay the license every year to use the equipment in general (for basic connectivity) but if you want to use these proprietary features you will need to have an active license. If you're ever having trouble with the performance of SpeedFusion (or your connection in general) you can always reach out to our support team at info@mobilemusthave.com so that they can make sure that your router is provisioned to fully optimize the feature and your available connections.
This plan has been terrific coupled with Primecare it is my go to cellular plan. The unlimited bandwidth has enabled download speeds consistently over 100 and upload speeds over 40 which is critical for me to upload pictures. Support has been quick and on point. MMH is the best reseller!
I renewed the warranty for two reasons: peace of mind if we have an issue with our equipment and to be able to access InControl 2.
A major benefit of InConrtol2 is being able to access the GPS function of the router. It helps locate the trailer when returning at night while boondocking in an area with numerous roads in the area. And if the trailer was moved (stolen), it acts as a lowjack, tracking the trailer as long as the router is powered. (Our trailer has a large solar system so the router is on 24/7). At the same time, you can use it to look up a route you traveled (roads, speed, etc)
As long as we are able to purchase renewals, we will continue to keep the coverage.
