The Victron Orion XS 1400 is a professional-grade DC-DC battery charger designed for 12V and 24V mobile power systems. It helps charge a service or house battery from a vehicle alternator while providing controlled, programmable charging for modern battery systems.

With a wide 9–35V input range, 10–35V adjustable output range, and up to 1400W of continuous output power, the Orion XS 1400 gives system designers flexibility across a range of mobile power configurations.

A DC-DC charger is designed to turn drive time into charge time. In a properly designed system, the Orion XS 1400 can help recharge a house battery bank from the vehicle alternator while protecting the starter battery and controlling the charge profile for the service battery.
Actual charging performance depends on alternator capacity, wiring, battery bank size, battery chemistry, system voltage, temperature, configuration, and other loads running in the vehicle. For larger systems, multiple Orion XS units can be connected in parallel when properly designed and installed.
