Hughes Autoformers Ground Neutral Bonding Plug
Introducing the Hughes Autoformers Ground Neutral Bonding Plug
The Hughes Autoformers Ground Neutral Bonding Plug is designed for RV owners and generator users who need to establish a neutral-to-ground bond when operating a floating-neutral generator. When certain RV surge protectors or electrical management systems detect an open ground or open neutral condition, they may prevent generator power from passing through to the RV.
The GNBPLUG provides a simple plug-in solution by creating the required neutral-to-ground bond at an unused 15A AC generator receptacle. This allows compatible Power Watchdog EPO surge protectors and other EMS equipment to properly recognize the generator power source without requiring permanent modification to the generator or RV electrical system.
Floating-Neutral Generator Compatibility and Easy Installation
The Hughes Autoformers is designed for portable and inverter generators that use a floating-neutral configuration, which can trigger open ground or open neutral faults on compatible RV surge protectors and electrical management systems. By creating the required neutral-to-ground bond at the generator, it helps compatible EMS equipment properly recognize the power source without bypassing the RV’s electrical protection system.
Installation is simple and does not require rewiring or permanent modification.
