Dual 5G. Starlink. Battery power. RoamLink multi-carrier connectivity. One rugged case.
The ToughSignal Summit is our flagship portable connectivity system, engineered for organizations that need serious internet connectivity wherever the job takes them. Built around Parsec's purpose-designed Pitbull Pro platform, Summit combines a Peplink MAX BR2 X65 dual-5G router, integrated Starlink Mini, high-performance cellular and Wi-Fi antennas, onboard battery power, RoamLink multi-carrier data, and an engineered cooling and power system into one compact, field-ready enclosure.
There is no separate router to mount, antenna system to assemble, battery pack to wire, or collection of external power supplies to keep track of. Summit is designed as a complete system: bring the case to the site, position it where cellular signal and the sky are accessible, power it on, and get to work.
It's built for live events, broadcast and media production, emergency response, remote worksites, temporary offices, aviation operations, network failover, field teams, and enterprise deployments where dependable connectivity matters.
Three Internet Connections. One System.
At the center of Summit is the Peplink MAX BR2 X65, providing two independent 5G cellular modems in a single enterprise-grade router. Those cellular connections are paired with an integrated Starlink Mini, giving Summit access to as many as three independent internet connections at the same time.
Use cellular when terrestrial networks are performing best. Bring Starlink online when cellular networks are unavailable, congested, or additional connectivity is needed. With supported Peplink SpeedFusion configurations, multiple WAN connections can also be used together to improve resiliency and connection stability.
Starlink can be switched on or off independently from the rest of the system. This makes it possible to operate Summit using cellular connectivity alone when satellite service is unnecessary, when operating indoors, or when conserving battery power is a priority.
High-Performance Antennas Built Into the Case
Summit isn't simply a router and Starlink terminal placed inside a protective box. The case itself is part of the connectivity system.
The Summit incorporates an 11-in-1 antenna architecture with eight cellular elements, two Wi-Fi elements, and GPS. Each of the BR2's two 5G modems receives a complete 4x4 MIMO cellular antenna array, helping the system make the most of available cellular signals while keeping the entire antenna system integrated into the enclosure.
Parsec designed the Pitbull platform specifically around demanding portable and enterprise connectivity applications, combining modern 4G/5G frequency support with an omni-directional antenna design built for rapid deployment.
Integrated Starlink Mini
A Starlink Mini is integrated directly into the Summit, providing satellite connectivity without requiring a separate dish enclosure, external router, or dedicated portable power system.
The Starlink installation is engineered around the thermal requirements of the hardware. Summit incorporates active ventilation and multiple cooling fans to manage heat generated by the Starlink Mini and networking equipment. The system is designed to operate with the case closed, helping protect the equipment while maintaining the airflow needed for proper operation.
Simply position Summit with an appropriate view of the sky and enable Starlink when you need it.
Starlink service is separate and requires an active Starlink subscription unless otherwise stated with your product configuration.
Built-In Battery Power
Every Summit includes an integrated Omnicharge Ultimate+ based lithium battery system, allowing the router, cellular connections, and Starlink Mini to operate away from shore power.
The battery is incorporated directly into the Summit power system rather than functioning as a separate accessory. An onboard display provides battery and power information, while dedicated controls allow the Summit and Starlink Mini to be powered independently.
Typical portable operating time is approximately 4 to 10 hours depending on system load and configuration. Starlink consumes considerably more power than cellular-only operation, so runtime can vary substantially depending on how the system is being used.
When AC power is available, connect Summit to a standard power source to operate the system and recharge the onboard battery. The charging and power hardware is built into the case, eliminating the need to keep track of a separate external power brick.
RoamLink Data Included — Choose USA or Global
Every ToughSignal Summit includes 12 months of RoamLink data, giving you multi-carrier cellular connectivity right out of the box without immediately purchasing a separate RoamLink plan.
Choose one included RoamLink data package when ordering:
- USA: 300GB of RoamLink data for use within the United States, valid for 1 year.
- Global: 50GB of RoamLink international data, valid for 1 year.
Customers must select either the 300GB USA package or the 50GB Global package with their Summit purchase. The two included packages cannot be combined.
If your deployment requires both U.S. and international connectivity, or you need additional data beyond the included allowance, a separate RoamLink plan can be added.
Ethernet When You Need It. Wi-Fi When You Don't.
Summit isn't limited to creating a wireless hotspot. Four covered Ethernet connections are integrated directly into the enclosure, providing one WAN and three LAN connections for wired equipment.
Connect computers, network switches, cameras, production equipment, temporary networks, or other downstream devices directly to Summit. The WAN connection can also support advanced deployments involving another preconfigured Peplink device using Peplink Synergy.
For larger projects, multiple ToughSignal systems can be engineered together to provide additional WAN redundancy and connectivity options.
Engineered for Rapid Deployment
Summit measures approximately 22 inches x 14 inches x 9 inches, yet contains the cellular antennas, dual-modem 5G router, Starlink Mini, battery system, cooling system, Ethernet connectivity, and power infrastructure needed for a complete portable network.
The rugged enclosure is IP54 weather-resistant when properly closed and includes locking hardware for field security. It can operate in inclement weather when deployed correctly, although the ventilation required to cool the Starlink and networking hardware means Summit should not be treated as a fully waterproof enclosure.
That balance is intentional: Summit is engineered to provide the airflow high-performance networking equipment requires while maintaining the ruggedness needed for real-world field deployment.
Built Around the Peplink MAX BR2 X65
The MAX BR2 X65 gives Summit two independent 5G cellular connections plus the advanced routing, WAN management, and SpeedFusion capabilities that make Peplink a leading platform for business and enterprise connectivity.
In addition to the preconfigured RoamLink eSIM connectivity, the router's physical SIM slots remain accessible. For customers with existing carrier-direct services, ToughSignal can also assist with configuring supported SIMs from carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or FirstNet depending on your deployment requirements.
More Than Hardware
ToughSignal was created because the organizations deploying systems like Summit often have something more important to do than become experts in cellular bands, signal scanning, carrier optimization, Starlink configuration, SpeedFusion, and multi-WAN networking.
The Summit arrives professionally integrated and preconfigured so your team can spend less time assembling components and more time deploying connectivity where it is needed.
ToughCare Support Included
Every ToughSignal Summit includes ToughCare, our standard support and warranty program designed to help keep your system operating the way it was built and configured. ToughCare includes component warranty support, ToughSignal system preconfiguration, connection setup information, and same-business-day technical support with a four-hour response SLA for issues related to the normal operation of the ToughSignal system.
Organizations requiring faster response and around-the-clock support can upgrade to ToughCare+. ToughCare+ builds on the standard ToughCare program with 24/7 technical support and an escalated two-hour response SLA for connectivity-related issues involving the ToughSignal system.
ToughCare and ToughCare+ are designed around support for the ToughSignal solution itself. Advanced routing, custom network engineering, third-party peripherals, and other project-specific requirements may be available separately through ToughSignal Enterprise Support.
Extended ToughCare coverage options are also available for organizations that require multi-year support. Complete coverage, response commitments, exclusions, and service terms are provided in the applicable ToughCare service-level agreement.
