The Epoch 24V 230Ah V2-T Elite LiFePO4 Battery is a high-capacity 24V lithium battery built for serious RV, marine, off-grid solar, and mobile power systems. With 230Ah of capacity at 25.6V nominal, it stores approximately 5.89kWh of energy in a single battery, reducing the need to combine multiple smaller batteries to build a substantial house-power bank.
This V2-T Elite model adds several features aimed at more advanced installations, including a user-serviceable 300A Eaton Class-T fuse, native Victron CAN communication, Bluetooth monitoring, internal heating, an IP67 enclosure, and included external monitoring controls. It is designed for deep-cycle house power and energy storage rather than engine-starting applications.
High Output for Large 24V Electrical Systems
A single battery supports up to 115A of continuous discharge and 115A of continuous charging. At 25.6V nominal, that provides roughly 2.94kW of DC output before inverter losses, making the battery well suited to properly engineered 3,000W-class inverter systems and other substantial 24V loads.
The 5.89kWh capacity gives RV owners, boaters, expedition travelers, and off-grid users a large amount of stored energy without building a complicated bank from several smaller batteries. Epoch rates the V2-T Elite for 4,000+ cycles and backs it with an 11-year manufacturer warranty.
Built-In Class-T Protection and Smart BMS
One of the key differences of the V2-T platform is its integrated, user-serviceable 300A Eaton Class-T fuse. The fuse provides high-interrupt source protection directly at the battery and can reduce the space and complexity associated with a separate external source fuse block.
An integrated smart BMS monitors cell voltage, current, temperature, balancing, overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, and short-circuit conditions. The battery carries a published UL1973 pack listing, while Epoch also publishes additional cell and component safety standards.
The internal Class-T fuse is an important safety feature, but it does not replace properly sized conductors, disconnects, busbars, downstream circuit protection, or other requirements of a complete electrical installation.
Victron Integration, Bluetooth Monitoring and Cold-Weather Charging
For Victron-based power systems, the V2-T Elite supports native CAN-bus communication at 500kbit/s with compatible GX devices such as the Cerbo GX and Ekrano GX. When configured with the specified communication harness and DVCC, the Epoch battery can communicate operating data and charging limits directly to the Victron system.
Bluetooth monitoring provides quick access to state of charge, cell voltage, temperature, cycle information, and system health alerts through the Epoch app. An included remote digital battery gauge and external power button also provide convenient physical access when the battery is installed in a compartment.
A BMS-controlled 153.6W internal heater supports charging in cold environments. The BMS prevents low-temperature charging until the cells reach an appropriate temperature, making the battery especially useful for RVs, boats, cabins, and mobile systems used through changing seasons.
IP67 Construction and Flexible Bank Expansion
The sealed enclosure is rated IP67 for protection against dust and temporary water immersion when its seals and glands are correctly installed. This is particularly valuable in marine, RV, and other environments where battery compartments may be exposed to moisture, dirt, or demanding conditions.
For larger systems, up to 16 identical C24230A-A batteries can be connected in parallel for approximately 94.2kWh of nominal storage. Up to two matched batteries may also be connected in series for a 48V nominal system. Mixed series-parallel configurations are not supported.
The battery measures approximately 20.86 x 8.65 x 12.06 inches and weighs 98.9 pounds, so installers should confirm available space, mounting support, cable access, and securement before installation.
Ideal Applications
- Large RV and motorhome house battery systems
- Marine house banks and onboard electronics
- Victron-based inverter/charger and solar systems
- Expedition vehicles and commercial mobile power
- Off-grid cabins and stationary solar storage
