Powering the Antenna Max S

Most RVs only have 12V power available, so to run the Antenna Max S you’ll need to convert that into the 90W PoE+ (802.3bt standard) required by the system.

Here’s how it works:

1. 12V to 90W PoE Injector (outside the antenna)

   • Converts your RV’s standard 12V power into 90W Power over Ethernet.

   • Sends both power and data up a single Ethernet cable to the Antenna Max S.

2. 90W PoE Splitter (inside the antenna)

   • Splits that 90W into:

     • Power for the Peplink router (via PoE)

     • Power for the Starlink Mini (via dedicated output)

👉 Together, the injector + splitter ensure your Peplink router and Starlink Mini inside the enclosure both get the power they need.

Important Notes:

• You must use 802.3bt (90W) PoE hardware — standard PoE (802.3at or lower) will not work.

• If you already run higher-voltage DC power (like 24V), you can still use the suggested injector — it accepts up to 48V input and upconverts to 90W.

  • Most RV installs: use our 12V to 90W PoE Injector + Splitter kit (recommended).

  • The injector converts your RV’s 12V (or up to 48V) DC power into 90W PoE (802.3bt), sending power and data up a single cable.

  • The splitter (inside the antenna) distributes that 90W to both the Peplink router and the Starlink Mini.

  • Note: Standard PoE (802.3at or lower) will not work.
