Getting connected on the road just became easier for RVers, travelers, and mobile lifestyle customers who already own internet hardware.
RoamLink Wireless, available through MobileMustHave.com, has announced a new Bring Your Own Device update for eligible RoamLink data plans. With this change, customers can now activate compatible hotspot devices, cellular routers, and supported phones on eligible RoamLink plans, giving RVers a more flexible path to mobile internet service without requiring a new hardware purchase on day one.
For many travelers, reliable internet is no longer optional. It supports remote work, trip planning, streaming, navigation, security monitoring, and staying connected with family while moving from campground to campground. While internet is necessary, not every customer is ready to replace their existing setup immediately. Some already own a hotspot device. Others have a cellular router installed in their RV. Some may want to begin with a supported phone before upgrading to a more capable dedicated device.
This new RoamLink update was designed with those customers in mind.
RoamLink Wireless Data Plans are built for RVers, travelers, remote workers, and mobile users who need reliable internet access beyond a traditional home connection. Available through MobileMustHave.com, RoamLink gives customers flexible data plan options designed for life on the road, whether they are working from a campsite, streaming at the RV park, navigating between destinations, or staying connected while traveling.
At the core of RoamLink is multi-carrier access. RoamLink operates as a U.S.-based wireless carrier and provides access to major nationwide cellular networks, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular. This multi-carrier approach helps RVers stay connected across more locations without managing multiple separate carrier plans.
RoamLink plans are also designed with flexibility in mind. Customers can choose the plan that fits their usage needs without being locked into a long-term contract, making it easier to adjust their mobile internet setup as travel plans, data needs, or equipment needs change.
Support is another key part of the RoamLink experience. Because RoamLink is operated by the MobileMustHave team, customers have access to knowledgeable U.S.-based support from people who understand RV connectivity, mobile routers, cellular data, and the challenges of staying connected while traveling.
Together, these plan fundamentals make RoamLink a practical mobile internet option for RVers who want flexible data plans, broad carrier access, and support from a team focused on the mobile lifestyle.
Eligible RoamLink plans can now support compatible customer-owned devices, including hotspot devices, cellular routers, and supported phones.
For the best RV internet experience, RoamLink recommends using a Cat 7 or higher hotspot device or cellular router. These types of devices are better suited for the performance demands of RV travel and full-time mobile connectivity. Lower-category devices may miss important network benefits and are not recommended for customers who want the strongest speed, reliability, and overall experience.
Device requirements may vary depending on the specific plan and setup. Customer-owned devices must support the required 5G or LTE cellular connectivity and must support SIM or eSIM use where applicable. Compatibility cannot be guaranteed for every third-party hotspot device, cellular router, or phone.
Speed and reliability may also vary based on the device being used, network conditions, location, signal quality, and other real-world factors.
One important part of this update is phone support. Supported phones can now be used with RoamLink plans, but phones should not be viewed as the ideal primary connection for full-time RV internet use.
For occasional or limited use, phone-based connectivity may be helpful. However, RVers who depend on internet access for work, streaming, smart RV monitoring, navigation, or daily connectivity will typically have a better experience with a dedicated hotspot device or cellular router.
Existing RoamLink customers can sign up for RoamLink Pocket for as little as $10 per month, adding multi-carrier capability to smartphones as an backup cellular data plan. It does not support voice, so a primary plan is still recommended.
New customers can add any RoamLink plan to their smartphone. It should be noted, that MobileMustHave recommends using a router or hotspot device if customers are working from the road. These devices offer a more consistent and reliable connection for everyday use.
For userss who want the most capable and supported setup, MobileMustHave continues to recommend purpose-built hardware solutions, such as Peplink-based systems. These options remain the preferred path for customers who want advanced performance, stronger support, and a more reliable experience.
If you are not sure what your usage might be like, simply start with your existing hotspot or mobile router. If you find that the you need more reliable internet, consider speaking with one of our customer service representatives who can recommend a better solution for your needs.
If you know you are going to be working full-time, we highly recommend you consider a Mobile Router or Mobile Internet Bundle as they will give you the most reliable setup.
“Many RVers already have some type of internet device. This update gives them a path to start with RoamLink using compatible equipment they already own, while still giving them the option to upgrade into a more advanced supported hardware setup when they are ready.”
