Note this is only for the Primecare Edition Pepwave Max Br1 Mini HW3. If you have an older Max Br1 Mini with a single, longer WiFi antenna then you need the license located here.
This optional failover/WAN license enables the WAN port on the MAX Mini. This will allow you to use wired internet connections such as a DSL or Cable connection. This license will also enable the WiFi as WAN feature (to pick up external WiFi networks such as campground wifi), and failover functionality that will automatically switch between cellular and wifi-as-wan or wired connections depending on how you configure the device. If you do NOT need those features, you do not need the additional license (if you decide you want them in the future, the license can be purchased any time to unlock those features).

I wanted a way to connect and merge two WANs what making VOIP or video conferencing calls, and the Wired WAN & Wifi-as-Wan License was the perfect solution for my Max BR1 Mini. It's easy to configure thanks to the new videos showing exactly how to get it done. There is a bandwidth limit that comes with the license, but it's easy to buy more bandwidth if or when you need it.
