Consider larger 480W version which is more forgiving to lower voltage inputs and has higher output located here.
This DC to DC 12-24v to 56v step up converter enables PoE on select Peplink devices that have PoE support. Peplink offers a 56v power adapter however it requires 110v power making it not an ideal solution for mobile use. Step up converted supports up to 280 watts of output power making it ideal for powering Pepwave devices such as PoE output enabled routers and switches. This DC to DC step up converter takes standard 12 or 24v power from RV house batteries and converts it to 56v which can be used to enable PoE on devices including but not limited to:
Always check your device's input voltage to verify it will accept 56v input. Exceeding your device's max input voltage will damage the device and void your warranty. If you have questions please reach out to us for more information.
Power Input Disclaimer: Power protection systems inside these units will not power up unless they sense 13.3v input on a 12v system or 26.5 volts on a 24v system minimum. Once powered, the units will remain powered on until input power drops below 12v or 24v respectively and will not power back up until the higher input voltage is achieved.. This is by design to protect customer battery banks and to prevent an unsafe situation such as when the current draw is too high for the gauge wire used for the DC input. This is a 280W step up converter and as such proper input voltage and wire gauge must be used to prevent an unsafe situation. As a general rule, the input side of a 280W device requires 30A Fused Power Input at 12v or 15A Fused Power Input at 24V. This device requires properly sized gauge input/output wire which will vary based on voltage and distance, typically 8-10 gauge on 12-24v input with a fused home run from house battery is required (possibly larger wire for longer runs, consult an electrician for proper wiring sizing on DC power systems).
