Unlike a traditional data plan requiring a sim, with M-Series the sim information is delivered via the cloud allowing your device to connect to the cellular network without a physical sim present. This has the added benefit of allowing multiple sims from multiple carriers to be provided to you as part of your plan. Should a certain plan not connect or have coverage, M-series moves to another network ensuring you always stay connected regardless of the carrier.
M-Series works with eSIM or a physical SIM. This means that if your device is eSIM compatible, you can request activation same day of ordering. If your Peplink is not eSIM compatible, we will ship a SIM to you (free of charge). Most routers sold in 2023 and later are eSIM compatible, but all devices will allow a physical SIM to connect. I was skeptical about the multi-carrier functionality with these plans, but after a recent camping trip where we were waaaay out in the middle of nowhere without cell phone coverage (Verizon) and too many trees for Starlink, we were shocked to see we had internet over AT&T. We were able to send texts and check weather over wifi with this plan and our Peplink router.
Roam link has been OK. It seemed like it would be the perfect solution to be able to connect to any carrier with no speed limitations. I have had some super high data speeds, but other times totally unusable. Odd thing is that when Roam link would not perform, my back up Verizon plan was just fine. I have used Roam link in multiple locations with mixed results. In the current location I am in line of site to a cell tower less than a half mile away, but Roam link is not performing. I had to connect to campground wifi because I burned up all my back data plan in another location that Roam like did not work.

We purchased the peplink max transit, parsec dish, and the roam link internet package over the summer and I’m beyond thankful that everything has exceeded expectations. I’ll be honest, it looked like these guys were all over the internet from forums to YouTube, which made me skeptical because I wasn’t sure if it was all self-promotion or networks of people being paid for their reviews. But my experience so far has destroyed any doubts. The equipment has worked perfectly, and the data hasn’t experienced a single issue. On several occasions, we have been out in the middle of nowhere and have no cell reception and the locals say that there is none, yet somehow we can not only access the internet, but stream without delay! It’s insane. Plus MMH has been prompt to respond to emails, and their customer service seems great. You guys are really leading this niche, and we tell everyone on the road that we can about our experience with you. Keep it up!
