24V to 12V High-Current Power Module Power Wiring Kit
The Off-Grid Power 24V-to-12V High-Current Wiring Kit provides the DC cable and copper lugs needed to connect the equipment used in the MobileMustHave 24V-to-12V High-Current Power Module. This module is designed for 24V Off-Grid Power Systems that also need to support existing 12V equipment with current demands beyond what a standard DC-DC converter is intended to supply.
Instead of powering every 12V load directly from a DC-DC converter, the High-Current Power Module incorporates a separate 12V battery to support high-current and high-inrush 12V loads. This is particularly useful for equipment such as engine or generator starting circuits, hydraulic or electric landing jacks, slide motors, leveling equipment, pumps, and other high-current 12V loads. The module allows the 24V Off-Grid Power System to support and maintain the 12V electrical system while the dedicated 12V battery handles short-duration high-current demands.
The included cable lengths and termination hardware are selected to match the detailed MMH wiring diagrams for this module, helping simplify sourcing and providing the connection materials needed to integrate the 24V and 12V portions of the system.

Wire quantities are measured in linear feet. The material list specifies two 6-foot quantities of 6 AWG wire for 12 feet total and two 10-foot quantities of 8 AWG wire for 20 feet total.
High-Quality, Multi-Rated Copper Cable
The cable included in this kit is full-AWG, pure OFC copper cable made in the USA and selected for demanding mobile, marine, RV, automotive, battery, and off-grid power applications. Its flexible stranded construction makes routing easier through mobile installations while providing the copper content required for reliable high-current DC connections.
The cable carries multiple ratings and approvals, including UL MTW, UL1426 BC5-W2 marine cable, UL THW building wire, UL AWM, and SAE automotive battery cable ratings. It features a durable PVC jacket resistant to oil, water, chemicals, abrasion, and sunlight and carries a UL VW-1 flame-resistance rating. Depending on the applicable rating, the cable is rated for applications up to 600V or 1000V.
Tin-Plated Pure Copper Lugs
The included heavy-duty lugs are manufactured from pure copper and tin plated for corrosion resistance. Their seamless construction, flared barrel, and chamfered opening are well suited for the flexible stranded cable used throughout high-current mobile DC electrical systems.
The lugs are UL Listed/CSA Certified and can be crimped or soldered. Multiple stud-hole sizes are included so the wiring can be terminated at the appropriate batteries, disconnects, circuit protection, converters, and distribution points shown in the MMH wiring diagrams.
Designed for High-Current 12V Loads
This wiring kit is designed to accompany the MobileMustHave 24V-to-12V High-Current Power Module. Unlike the standard 24V-to-12V conversion option intended for typical continuous 12V loads, this configuration adds a dedicated 12V battery that can supply the substantially higher instantaneous current required by certain vehicle and RV equipment.
This architecture is well suited for larger RVs and other mobile applications where existing 12V equipment may include motors, starters, hydraulic systems, leveling equipment, slides, or other loads with high startup or inrush current requirements.
