I think this product, by definition, is good. It inherently seems like it solves a lot of traveling problems, by allegedly connecting to any of the major carriers no matter where you are located.
It could be 5 star. I have no idea if it actually does this.
I had some trouble when I first got and installed it. I was not happy with the performance and when I contacted MMH they changed my carrier connection behind the scene. Eventually that was fine, not not great.
Why did I have to contact them for this? Why can't I have some sort of control over that?
In two subsequent travel stops I really have not had any trouble with the connections.
Per cellmapper, there are towers very close to where I have stayed,
Once a week, I would say, I have experienced a stoppage that I couldn't explain (you get no info) and had to go to backup connections (non-MMH) while I rebooted the RoamLink modem, in hopes it re-connected to a better signal.
My problems with this system are
1. There is no way to tell what your usage is. I have no idea whether I'm close to my data limit. So I try to use lame local wi-fi to stream video since I absolutely cannot have my data (as I work using this stream) throttled to the ridiculously low rate if you go over on this plan.
I don't even know if the 300G is correct for me, or can be lowered, or should be upped if possible. Just no clue.
2. I have no idea what tower/signal/carrier I am attached to. I cannot tell what I am currently attached to. I…

We actually just rolled out the Roamlink Connect Beta Program, which gives access to certain features including data tracking, managing your connections, and connecting your router to outside Wi-Fi sources. I'm going to have someone from our support team reach out to you now to help you sign up for the program (free of charge) and also help you solve the other problems you've been experiencing.
I believe it's a fair price
Can't tell how much we use during the month until it is throttled. Seems to go way faster than through our old system on usage. We used to do about 320 a month. This system seems to run out on the 23rd of the month. It also starts over on the 1st. Not on the billing date as you might expect. No support on weekends so if you have a problem friday at 5, you are SOL until Monday afternoon usually.
