This softener took all of 4 minutes to install to our existing R3 filter system with the quick connector fittings. I like how it came ready to use. All we had to do is flush it for 4-6 minutes and we were good to go. It’s nice not having water spots on our shower doors and glassware. Can’t wait to wash the rig and truck knowing we will not have the water spots on them that normally occur with hard water.

We have (now had) a Pro Aqua water softener which has been outstanding but it is tall and heavy. So I purchased this water softener because it is shorter and lighter.
I have the Clear Source Ultra and this water softener permanently installed in my fifth wheel. This softener is the perfect height to fit in one of my inside storage compartments.
The only negative that I can foresee is that when I have really cold water running through the softener (which has happened), the outside of the stainless steel could sweat and leave small amounts of water on the floor. Perhaps a neoprene outer cover would solve this potential problem.
