Why use Foam?
High Expansion Air Compressed Foam is the correct term for this state of the art fire suppressant. Watching a news report where an aircraft lands say with its wheel gear up, the fire trucks coat the runway with foam then converge on the scene and immediately create a white “cupcake” out of the plane? That’s Foam; this is THE new Hi-Tech concept in fire suppression available here in PFOA free form. Water-based, non-toxic, non-corrosive; the, in a word, safe, way to protect yourself as well as your vehicle investment from the damage due to fire and the damage from trying to put out a fire. There are many formulations of “foam” each designed for specific fire types. The “designer foam” we use not only provides a viscous nonflammable layer to block air from the fuel but also turns hydrocarbons inert or nonflammable. This means that typical hydrocarbon sources such as gasoline or diesel fuel will not re-light. Foams mixed with denatured water is safe on all fires (A, B, C, and D) and certified for A & B Class Fires. In our automotive application, our foam is the right suppressant for the right job.
I Already Have Fire Extinguishers, Do I Need This?
The pre installed extinguishers in vehicles are dry chemical fire extinguishers. Don’t use a dry chemical fire extinguisher if you can help it on your vehicle. They are effective but that comes at a cost to your propety and potentially your health. When you fight fire with this “powder” form of extinguishers, if whatever you hit with the extinguisher is not burned beyond use by the fire, the part may still have to be replaced because of the damage due to the extinguisher powder itself not to mention the dust cloud of cleanup that will cover near everything in your vehicle. Dry chemical extinguishers are corrosive and can damage sensitive electronics and wiring. Worse though, the most dangerous thing about dry chemical occurs if you inhale the powder, which is nearly impossible not to do if the unit is used in a confined space such as a vehicle. The caustic material in a dry powder chemical extinguisher is known to damage lung tissue.

Haven’t had to use these yet (and hope I never do) but they are sure good to have around, if needed. Very compact. They fit under the kitchen sink, behind the driver seat, in an outside storage and inside our electronics cabinets. So good to know that they won’t ruin everything if I need to use them.
Hopefully will never need to use
I purchased to have at the ready for my suv/car camping setup. I intend to stay away from airports and instead see the country via my Rav4. I purchased 2 cans of Fire Fight to have as part of my safety equipment. I can say that the purchase was handled quickly and arrived well packaged. Stay healthy and safe out there!
I purchased a 6 pack of these extinguishers. Four I gave to fellow RVers that we camp with and the other 2 replaced the dry chemical extinguisher in our new camper. I've always wondered what cleanup would be like with one of those. With these new foam extinguishers, I no longer worry about that. They are smaller than the RV extinguisher and lighter. For me, the weight difference counts in our RV. I have NOT used it yet, but if I ever do, I'm sure it will be better than spaying all that dry chemical around my RV!
