Dual Modem Device
The mobile router listed on this page is equipped with two embedded cellular modems. This will allow you to utilize two cellular connections at the same time, providing advanced traffic routing and load balancing capabilities as well as near-instant failover from one provider to another. Internet traffic can be routed in a variety of ways using Peplink's proprietary Outbound Policy Management Algorithms. Dual modem devices may be capable of utilizing SpeedFusion technology also known as "WAN bonding" which may require separate licensing. See SpeedFusion section below.
The device listed on this page is licensed for SpeedFusion access. SpeedFusion is Peplink's proprietary WAN bonding solution that can bond multiple internet connections together into a single, more resilient connection for added connection reliability. SpeedFusion capable devices create a VPN tunnel which allows multiple internet connections to act as a single connection. SpeedFusion supports WAN-Smoothing, a technology which helps to prevent packet-loss which is typically the cause for unstable internet connections. In order to utilize SpeedFusion you must either host your own SpeedFusion instance at a secondary location/datacenter, or utilize Peplink's SpeedFusion Cloud service which is available for an additional monthly subscription fee. This device includes 1TB of SpeedFusion cloud transfer at up to 100Mbps per second. For more information on SpeedFusion and SpeedFusion cloud please contact us below.

WiFi as WAN
This device supports Wifi-As-Wan meaning you can pick up public WiFi signals from hotspots, campgrounds, and other sources to rebroadcast them into your coach and use them as your local internet. The wireless antennas included with this modem will pick up these signals and rebroadcast them locally within your own WiFi network.
*Using public WiFi may be unreliable due to external environmental forces typically outside of customer's control and as such public WiFi is recommended to be used as a secondary backup connection.

Being built with AT&T, in public-private partnership with the FirstNet Authority, FirstNet utilizes Band-14, which is reserved for public safety but is also being marketed as available to the public for additional bandwidth capacity. In testing Band-14 has been made available during non-emergency situations to the public to provide additional bandwidth and coverages to customers who have a modem that supports FirstNet's Band-14. Not all modems that support Band-14 are "FirstNet Certified" however they typically can connect to Band-14 in most areas. Purchasing the Remote PreConfiguration and Q & A Training Session Was Worth the $99
I purchased the Ultimate Road Warrior bundle (Max Transit Duo with Parsec Husky roof antenna) plus I was convinced to add in the $99 class and remote config option… Even with a 38yr career in IT and InfoSec, I decided to pay for the class, not being familiar with PepWave / Peplink routers. Dave from MMH did a great job answering my pre-sales questions and getting me set up. The personalized Q & A session was great (it was myself and one other customer in this particular session - so we both were able to pick Dave’s brain about potential use issues), and I’m hoping for many years of good use out of my system before I need to upgrade. In addition to the bundle, I also went with an additional internal use WiFi access point since the paddle antennas on the back of the Transit Duo will be not used and the only WiFi antennas would’ve been outside up on the roof. So with the POE-enabled indoor Wireless AP One Mini unit I’ll have great WiFi coverage both up on top and inside my rig. I also bit the bullet and signed up for MMH’s B300 AT&T monthly $150 data plan for 300gb of data. We shall see. But so far, a good setup and configuration experience. Tom Rogers
I was so worried about working on the road, but after finding this gem I was able to relax. Been using for a month and have had 0 issues with service or connectivity issues. In the beginning, while learning to use this, tech support was a definite blessing!
Perfect option for those that need redundancy
Perfect for mobile professional internet on the go
Having two modems active/hot at once is great. Despite the lack of b71 support TMO is still useful and clutch at times. Modem 1 is VZN, Modem 2 ATT & TMO. It's not the fastest at downloading, but is one of the best at uploads and doing video calls you really want a pretty syncronous connection. There's way more configuration than one will ever need, but nearly all of it isn't necessary if you don't want to dive into it. :) One downside is that primecare is less of a deal for personal use, incontrol is useless aside from GPS tracking, and the warranty probably won't be necessary as long as they're technically relevant. It's a shame the $40 speedfusion license can't just be used, but I guess that's why the initial cost is cheaper. Still worth it assuming that in 3-4 years you'd probably want to hop up to a 5G model anyways.
Slight learning curve
Took some time to fully understand the settings for SpeedFusion Cloud and other more advanced features, but this will be a rockstar modem/router for my work-from-bus setup.
